LEARNING FACILITIES:

The campus has a well equipped library with over 8000 books that serves both students and staff. It is designed to provide a high level of support to both the teaching and learning programs. In addition to the book collection, students have access to a wide array of electronic, multimedia materials and global information through the internet.
Qualified librarians supported by library and computer technicians, ensure that students are given the level of guidance and support they require, hence enabling them gain valuable information from this resource centre.

LIBRARY

Location

  • City Campus Library is located on the first floor section of KU Plaza A.

Opening and Closing Time:

  • City Campus Library opens on weekdays from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm
  • The Library opens every Saturday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • The Library remains closed on Sundays and during public holidays.

Library Resources

  • Kenyatta University City Campus has a well-equipped Library with a sitting capacity of 133 users.  The Library boasts of a rich collection of more than 8,000 volumes comprising of business and economics texts, psychology texts, public health texts, education texts, peace and security texts, public policy texts and international relations texts. The library stocks magazines, as well as electronic resources.

Information Literacy Training

The library organizes information literacy training for both staff and students of KU City Campus to equip library users with search and retrieval skills, citation and referencing skills and sensitization on plagiarism. The trainings can be conducted in group (e.g. a class) or on individual basis. Any Library user or group of users interested for the training may contact:

COMPUTER LAB

The computer lab enables students to access Internet Resources, both through local connections as well as wireless connections. There are ninety functional computers and excellent technicians who work hand in hand with students.
Computer Lab Opening Hours
Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Closed on public holidays


SPORTS FACILITIES

There are several Sports and Games are offered at City Campus, which include both Indoor and Outdoor activities. Some of the activities include; Scrabble and Chess for (indoor) and football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, netball and others (outdoor) .There is an excellent team at the campus that ensures proper administering of sport activities at the campus.

Times: Games are to be held on Friday afternoon, from one p.m. onwards.
